Understanding the world with all the senses

At the play area of the Bavarian State School for Children with Disabilities in Munich, you are completely at one with your senses. Quite clearly, because here you are meant to feel, experience and learn. What does the grass feel like under my bare feet? What sound do bamboo rods make? Children can find answers to these and many other questions here. Seeing, hearing and touch play a key role on this play area. And the best thing: it is designed to be completely step-free.

The large circular route, which incorporates a shade-giving tree, can even be negotiated in a wheelchair and offers a fantastic view. And for those who are hungry for movement? There are numerous opportunities for sliding, climbing, swinging, running and exploring.
