Cologne, Butzweiler Hof, 3rd construction phase

Climbing over wobbly boulders, the thrill of the slide and balancing across different surfaces — there’s something here for everyone.

For this playground at Butzweilerhof in Cologne, we incorporated the “floating boulders” in a variety of ways: sometimes as a standalone climbing boulder, sometimes as elements within a wobbly bridge, and of course as a separate boulder mounted on a spring that gets everyone moving.

For a little adrenaline rush, there’s the free-fall slide: it’s very steep and slightly wider, so you can even race down side by side with a friend.
