The centrepiece of the play area in Zuiderpark is the large climbing tower in the middle. Once you’ve reached the top, a big stainless-steel slide awaits as your reward. From the tower, small timber routes and balancing sections branch off – including a rope net for walking and climbing.
Next door, a large swing structure offers buoyant fun in several variations: a basket seat swing, a rope swing and a multi-user swinging seat. Various timber platforms in the soft sand allow for more climbing practice or sand play – and artificial rocks set into the ground can be used as a jumping trail. A small wooden “ruin” with a platform also sits in the sand: a great place to hide, and to play in, under or on.
