From May 2011, the leisure park in Velbert has invited young and old to spend their free time playing and being active. The planning office Stadt‑Kinder from Dortmund was responsible for design and planning. Children, young people and local residents were able to contribute their ideas in workshops. Taking these wishes into account, a play area with climbing equipment and a swing park was created, as well as a sports area – an express wish of the teenagers.
