The 7,000‑square‑metre alla hopp! park in Ravenstein, which opened a year ago, was planned by the Hink landscape architecture practice. “The park features a central, in‑situ concrete path that ‘swings’ down the slope; under the motto ‘The path is the play’, it creates the connection between the individual objects and elements,” explains architect Michael Hink.
Starting at the castle car park – the beginning of this route – visitors reach a swing promenade via a set of steps, with a wide range of swings linked together by a steel tube and a beautiful view across the site and the surrounding landscape. Another highlight is the steel-and-timber “ruin tower” that rises above the whole park, inviting movement and a change of perspective with its long tube slide and climbable rock feature.
