At the Grüner See, the first fully inclusive playground in the City of Ratingen has been completed. Children with and without disabilities contributed their ideas to the planning and design.
There was already a playground on this site in the recreation park, but it had become outdated.
The equipment also includes a new seating and stay area with two benches and tables. Overall, the new playground significantly enhances the leisure offer around the Grüner See.
The “Utrecht Tower”, with a bold climbing ascent and a large wave ramp, immediately catches visitors’ eye. The wheelchair-accessible roundabout and the roll-under sand play unit also enable children with impairments to join in.
