The playground in John Steinbeck Park has been extensively transformed into a large inclusive playground. Through a participation programme, children and young people in Heiligenhaus were able to share their wishes – and a large proportion were implemented exactly as suggested.
Alongside swings, a Drehstern (spinning star), a running drum and a Holländerscheibe (spinning disc), inclusive equipment has also been installed. The push-and-slide play panel, an accessible swing and a wheelchair carousel all offer ground-level access, so that everyone can join in.
