If that doesn’t spark the play instinct of visitors young and old: at the Windland play area in Alsheim, children learn in a playful way how electricity is generated by wind. Using a hand crank, they set the rotors of the 3.5 m wind turbine in motion and – hey presto – generate their own electricity, which creates lighting effects inside the two play huts. Teaching knowledge through play – the concept works.
