On Weinheimer Straße in Abtsteinach, a new play and activity area has been created as part of the alla hopp! initiative in the Rhine-Neckar region. It is one of 19 alla hopp! facilities launched and funded by the Dietmar Hopp Foundation.
Across an area of around 12,000 m², it offers activities for all generations and makes an important contribution to health by encouraging exercise and social connection. With its varied play equipment and water play features, it appeals to the whole family and creates new sensory experiences.
Rocks and towers connected by suspension bridges, mechanical sound games and an in-ground roundabout that can only be moved together all add to the experience. A key element is the water play zone, where the flow can be directed and diverted.
A special highlight is the small ferry: a floating pontoon that can be pulled across the water on a rope. It takes balance and coordination – and a bit of teamwork – to reach the other side. Seating and benches around the area invite you to pause and relax.
